Our mission	Our Mission Statement: To provide a no-kill shelter dedicated to the reduction of homeless pets by promoting adoption, spay/neuter, education and responsible pet ownership.

Opportunities	Kennel Care & Canine Socialization Volunteer for outside / inside tasks – assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the kennel run areas and provides transport and socialization of the canine population Occasional, Weekly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Facility Care Volunteer for inside tasks – sweep / mop floors, windows, laundry, dishes, etc… Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Cat Care & Socialization Volunteer for outside / inside tasks – assist with feeding, cat room cleaning, grooming and socializing with the feline population Occasional, Weekly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Administrative Support Volunteer for inside tasks – clerical & organizational tasks, data entry & special projects Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals Office work Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Landscape & Grounds Volunteer for outside tasks – mowing, watering, weeding, etc… Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals Outdoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends

How you help	Our volunteers are essential to keeping the animals in our care as happy and healthy as we can until they can be placed in a home. We are dedicated to providing care and shelter for unwanted dogs and cats and placing them in loving homes. We house approximately 80 dogs and cats currently looking for permanent, loving homes.

About us	The Progressive Animal Welfare Society, now better known as PAWS, was originally formed by a small group of concerned animal lovers in 1980. PAWS was established as a “no-kill” animal shelter and remains so to this day. In addition, PAWS’ founders realized the importance of providing spay/neuter and medical treatment for all animals in their care. Since 1980, PAWS has found forever homes for over 12,000 cats and dogs and looks forward to serving you for another 30+ years and beyond.
