Our mission

The Northern Kentucky Education Council is the backbone organization for alignment of education initiatives in Northern Kentucky. The Council serves as a catalyst for collaboration, change and progress to attain regional education goals in Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen and Pendleton Counties.
Opportunities

One to One Volunteer

One to One is currently seeking community members to volunteer as reading coaches for this school year to work with first, second or third grade students that are struggling with reading skills. One to One Coaches support students at more than 30 schools across Northern Kentucky.

How you help

Volunteers play an integral role in helping struggling students with the support they need to be successful in reading and math. Since 2008, One to One has increased participation from 4 to 34 schools and provided support for over 3000 students.
About us

The Council was formed to align organizations and initiatives with the purpose of ensuring that Northern Kentucky exceeds national education performance standards at every level. The Northern Kentucky Education Council is currently comprised of members from the business, community and education sectors, and has divided its work among six action teams. As a result of the Council, students will have significantly greater opportunities for academic and lifelong success, and Northern Kentucky will become a more prosperous place to live.
