Our mission	To provide shelter which is life saving in the winter and life changing in the summer.

Opportunities	Organizers Help keep our shelter in good working order. You might fold towels, re-label clothing or sort food items. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Indoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Shift Volunteer (evening) Assist our staff with welcoming our guests into shelter and tasks to keep our place running smoothly. Laundry, cleaning and lots of listening. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Indoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Shift Volunteer (morning) Assist our staff in the morning when our guests are departing. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Indoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Meal Makers Help provide a meal for our shelter guests that serves 70 adults. Items we need	Wish List Our shelter relies upon the generosity of many to assist with providing food, paper products, clothing, cleaning items, and personal hygiene items. Donations can be dropped off most days from 9a-9pm. We ask people to call ahead so we can be prepared. How you help	We believe homelessness is an emergency and that shelter is a basic necessity for human beings. We believe that only when this basic necessity is provided, do human beings have the ability to recover from homelessness. Our shelter relies upon the generosity of many to assist with providing food, paper products, clothing, cleaning items and personal hygiene items.

About us	ESNKY opened its doors for the first time in the winter of 2008 as the region’s only cold weather shelter for adults. In the summer of 2010, we began providing shelter during the warmer months for men who are working towards achieving housing, income and improvement of health. We were started by a group of concerned citizens and business owners who wanted to ensure that our most vulnerable population had a place to go to during our coldest weather.
