Board Members need to be passionate about serving aging adults in our communities. Make a social commitment to be actively in engaged by giving of time and financial resources. Each board member is expected to actively participated on a committee that meets in addition to the bi-monthly board meetings. Total committed of time varies, estimated 2 hours a month. Other volunteer opportunities available depending on how active you want to engage. Board Requirements 1) Member are required to promote CASS and be an brand ambassador for CASS in the community. 2) Board members are expected to be socially responsible and make a commitment of time and financial as set by board members. It is expected that each board member contribute financially to the agency annually. 3) Members are expected to attend at least 70% of meetings includes board and committee meetings. 4) Board members are expected to be active with fundraisers and advocacy efforts if needed. Onboarding Every new board member meets with the Nominating Chair and CEO to discuss expectations for the Board which includes social responsibility of fund raising and promoting CASS, Board attendance, and meeting schedule. This meeting is a time for the candidate and Board Members to get to know each other and see if their is a match prior to meeting with the full board. Once a Board Member is elected an individual orientation is provided to each board member. Also Board Members are encouraged to completed a ride along with a Meals or Transportation route or visit a congregate meal site during a meal. We believe this connect members to our mission.
