Treasurer, 2. Secretary ,3. Social media manager, and 4. public relations specialist for my Non profit organization. 1. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and overseeing all financial aspects of the foundation. 2. This position is responsible for managing organizational aspects of the foundation. 3.The Social Media Manager will lead the strategic development of The Gabriel B. Taye Foundation’s social media channels with the main purpose of increasing follower engagement and furthering the mission of the Foundation to bring about bullying and suicide awareness. This includes defining, implementing and maintaining the overall strategy for social media community development, content production, social engagement, and responding to follower comments and inquiries in a timely manner. Additionally, the Social Media and Content Manager will be actively involved in helping curate, publish and promote content for The Gabriel B. Taye Foundation and any other social media responsibilities as outlined by the Executive Director. Board Requirements • Maintaining, creating and filing appropriate tax documents (including form 990 at the end of the fiscal year) in compliance with tax code applicable for nonprofits. • Updating IRS, Secretary of State, Attorney General information as needed to keep the foundation in good standing. • Create general ledger to oversee the tracking of expenses, donations (both cash, checks, and in-kind) as they are received or used. • Send out tax benefit letters, once a quarter to all donors (both corporate and individuals). • Stay informed of legal, regulatory and sector developments relating to the Board’s financial responsibilities • Minimum commitment to 2 hours a week to perform necessary duties. • Possess stellar accounting skills or have a background in finance, with impeccable attention to detail and organization. • Familiar with 501(c)(3) tax laws or willing to get acquainted with them. • Be comfortable and available to handle banking, depositing cash and checks, paying the bills and tracking income and expenditure throughout the year. • At least 1-year experience with creating an annual budget for an organization. 2.• Fostering communication between Board members, key staff members, and community stakeholders. • Overseeing the email correspondence received from various outlets (social media, website, fundraising events). • Crafting monthly electronic newsletters to be sent to community organizations, individual donors, and corporate sponsors. • Managing the planning and logistics of fundraising events. • Scheduling Board meetings and gatherings with community officials or sponsors. • Ensuring marketing collateral is updated, available, and disseminated to appropriate places to promote the Foundation’s mission. • Various administrative duties as may be assigned by the board. • Keeping accurate corporate records and minutes of Board meetings to keep the Foundation in good organizational standing. • Reviewing and updating documents as necessary to guarantee that all documents are safely stored and readily accessible for inspection by directors and/or members. • Minimum 3 years of experience serving as either a secretary or executive assistant. • At least 2 years of event planning experience (can be personal or professional) • Working knowledge of nonprofits or foundations and how to secure sponsorship's. • Willingness to learn various tasks, strategies, and programs to further the mission of the Foundation. • Exceptional ability to create calendars and remain organized. 3.
