Connected to Organization --- not set --- Opportunity Title Description When survivors of partner violence leave their abuser, they often can't take their beloved animals with them. Whether they are moving into our shelter or staying with family - sometimes it just isn't feasible to bring along their furry (or scaley) friends. The Ion Center provides protection and housing for these animals. When a pet enters our program, The Ion Center meets with the owner to learn all they can about the animal. Are they good with other pets? Do they like kids? Are they older and need quiet? Are they full of energy? We then match the pet with the Foster best suited. Pet Foster Parents need only to give love - The Ion Center provides all food, veterinary care and accessories (toys, leashes, crates).
