What we'll doWork side by side with passionate volunteers to cut down and remove these harmful plants from the surrounding forest of Gorman Heritage Farm.
Who can do itAnyone 5+

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join us as we learn about invasive plant species, why they are detrimental to our environment and ways we can combat their wide spread growth. Start the day with a brief lesson about the impact invasive plants have on our native biodiversity and also how to properly identify these harmful plants and how to remove them. We will then be going to our multiple trails around our 122 acre non-profit farm to search out and remove invasive plant species.

How do you like your beets? Allison’s simple salad looks delicious! My favorite root vegetable is in my CSA bag .. BEETS!! 😋 They can be roasted, juiced, or simply boiled until tender.

My favorite recipe —> Boil beets until tender (the skin will fall off), slice them up, add goat cheese and chopped walnuts .. a simple yet mouthwatering salad 🤤
