Happy #SelfCareSunday, Warriors! @kayla_m_wood is back on the blog with a new post on taking life as it is. Check out a sneak peek below, and click the link to read more! You can’t control everything that happens in life. Sometimes, things work out as planned, and sometimes they don’t. Nobody expected the world to essentially shut down for two and a half months. Nobody expected a virus to cause them to lose work. When life throws curve balls like that, you just have to take it as it is.Before COVID, I was a planner. I thought I could plan out every moment of my life and anticipate how everything would turn out. But life doesn’t work out that way.The past few months have taught me how to take life as it is and value what’s most important. Before going back to work, I was able to reevaluate the things that I thought made me happy. Instead of spending time, money and energy on temporary solutions, I started healing my happiness meaningfully and purposefully.

Happy Saturday, Warriors! Were featuring our final #milesformentalhealth team this week! Check out Team Runners for Mental Health, created by Liz Snyder. The teams fundraising page says, “Some people shy away from discussions of mental health. Showing vulnerability is seen by some as a sign of weakness. We are so thankful for this organization to give a courageous voice to advocate for those who suffer in silence due to fear of condemnation or judgement. Let us be brave enough and risk enough to reach out to others and act with compassion. To seek out and check in on others and let them Know they are not alone and its never to late to begin again.“Click the link to donate to Team Runners for Mental Health! https://www.classy.org/team/296600And dont forget, you can still register or join a team until tomorrow!#mentalhealth #12kchallenge #virtual12k #virtualevents #stopthestigma
