Our mission	Talbert House is empowering children, adults and families to live healthy, safe and productive lives.

Opportunities	281-CARE 281-CARE is a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention, information and referral service. A 40-hour training will be provided along with ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training). Requirements: High School diploma or GED, background check, 5-10 hours per week (hours are flexible) and a three month commitment. Weekly Adults Individuals Indoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Help clients through notes, short videos and emails Send notes of encouragement, short videos and emails that the staff will pass along to struggling clients. Ongoing Adults Individuals, Families Virtual, Note Writing Anytime Individual and Group Volunteer Opportunities Host an activity, meal, training or workshop for our clients, write messages of hope to persons in recovery, landscape or help with site renovation projects. We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities. One-time Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Families Event support, Indoor, Outdoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Fatherhood Community Celebration Each year on Father’s Day, Talbert House hosts this FREE event for dads and families to enjoy a day of games, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and beverages, live music, sports activities, and more. How you help	Volunteers are an integral part of Talbert House’s work. From providing support at our Fatherhood Community Celebration to helping organize supply drives and answering 281-CARE crisis hotline calls, volunteers are key to supporting many of our programs and activities.

About us	Talbert House is a community-wide nonprofit network of services focusing on prevention, assessment, treatment and reintegration. We help children, adults and families overcome addiction, mental illness and involvement in the justice system.
