Play & Learn Volunteer

4C for Children invites you to volunteer with our Play & Learn kindergarten readiness program. 4C’s Play & Learn groups, based on the national Kaleidoscope Play & Learn® Program, help children (birth to age 5) learn through play. You spend 15 minutes both setting up before and packing up after each Play & Learn session, assist Play & Learn instructors in modeling appropriate interactions during play and help caregivers build supportive relationships with one another. The target audience for this outreach effort is stay-at-home parents as well as family, friend and neighbor caregivers and the children in their care. Led by a trained facilitator, 4C Play & Learn groups are held in 18 Southwest Ohio, Miami Valley and Northern Kentucky locations. Each group meets twice a month for 90 minutes. View an up-to-date list of meeting locations and times. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one two-hour session each month—but twice monthly is preferred to help establish relationships with Play & Learn participants.

About us 4C believes that children are born full of promise and that the adults in their lives have the responsibility to keep their minds active, their bodies healthy, and their hearts happy. That's why 4C for Children supports everyone who cares for young children in our community. We educate child care professionals, help families find child care, and offer resources for learning at home. When a child receives the best care and education early on, they'll be successful throughout their life.
