How you help Help us by volunteering to be on a 4-5 person team that will lead the Gear Up! Game and teach students about saving, spending, and charitable giving as the game is played. The time frame in the classroom is from 9:30 to Noon. Training material will be provided by email to those registered.
About us Accounting for Kids Day (AFK) is celebrating its 20th annual event this year. AFK began as a small event with 140 volunteers, mostly accountants and bankers, with the intent of going from the boardroom to the classroom and introducing students to financial literacy education. AFK was promoting financial literacy before it became a trend, and a state mandate. The program is focused on serving schools in low-income neighborhoods with the hope of inspiring children to consider life beyond high school and open their minds to the endless possibilities that education can provide.
