Board Member – Marketing/Events
| Our board | Board of Trustees meets monthly. Officers are President, VP, Secretary and Treasurer. Committees are Finance, Operations and Development. |

| Position | Despite the fact that iSPACE has been in existence for 18 year, we are still relatively unknown. We are seeking to add marketing expertise to our board to help define plans to better market iSPACE as an organization as well as our programs. iSPACE has a part time marketing/development director on staff but currently has no marketing expertise at the board level. |

| Donation | We strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions. |

| Requirements | Participate on at least one committee. Attend at least 8 BOT meetings/year. Attend (in person) BOT annual retreat/ strategy meeting (held in Oct/Nov on a Saturday). Participate in efforts to cultivate donors/ donations as requested by Development committee. Assist with special efforts in your area of expertise (ie employee handbook). |

| On-boarding | New potential board members will meet with the Executive Director and be invited to attend a board meeting to become familiar with our organization and board. If candidate is then interested in joining, a vote is put to the board members. On-boarding meeting is held with ED after successful vote. New members are encouraged to attend some of our educational programs to see our impact first-hand. |
