| Ways to help youth thrive |
Saturday Morning TutorAs a tutor, you will interact with Breakthrough Cincinnati middle school students on Saturday mornings at the Oakley, Walnut Hills, and Norwood public libraries. Students bring homework to work on or a list of subjects they need help reviewing. You will work with small groups or individual students for an hour and a half, helping prepare Breakthrough students for success at college-prep high schools. |

| How you help | The program provides 6th through 9th grade students the opportunity to challenge themselves academically and personally. These​ ​students​ go through a rigorous selection process based on academic merit, educational goals, and risk factors.​ Over the course of 4 years, student learning is guided by college-age Teaching Fellows, who are gaining the practical experience to succeed as future teachers and leaders. These relationships form the foundation of the unique "student-teaching-students" approach. It is that approach that fostered the inspired learning environment that leads to results. Students attending Breakthrough Cincinnati typically graduate on time from high school; 88% did in 2017, and enroll in college; 100% did in 2017. |
