Our mission | To build a pipeline of diverse talent for the tech industry by equipping underrepresented youth with hands-on STEM skills. These programs foster confidence by empowering students to physically assemble their own computers, which they get to keep. This model effectively bridges both the educational and digital divides, providing participants with the skills, tools, and self-assurance needed to pursue successful careers in a field they might not otherwise have had access to. |

How you help | Your continued support by has made every milestone possible. It’s what allowed us to grow from nine students to a thousand, and it’s what will allow us to double our impact in the years to come. You can help in several ways. Volunteering to support the promotion of events and activities is what is we are asking of you today. We need people who can sell tickets, spread the through their networks and spread the word through social media. Your generosity is what builds futures, one computer—and one child—at a time. |

About us | Academy for Technologists Extraordinaire, Inc.—also known as BYOC (Build Your Own Computer) Camps and Clubs —is a nonprofit organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio, dedicated to transforming youth into tomorrow’s STEM leaders. Founded in 2014 by Robin Walker as an extension of her tech company Technology Tailor Made, BYOC became a 501(c)(3) in 2017 to expand its reach and deepen its mission. In just 11 years, we’ve empowered over 1,000 children, giving them the skills and confidence to pursue careers in tech and become the next generation of innovators. In 2025, we’ve already equipped over 100 young minds with critical problem-solving and coding skills. And we’re not slowing down. Our move to a new, larger facility is complete, giving us the space to expand our programs this fall and winter. We’re ready to inspire more students than ever before. |
