Our mission

We envision empowered young people who take control and responsibility for their own development. We seek to facilitate racial and economic reconciliation. We exist to equip youth and their families to succeed in every area of life: spiritual, emotional, physical, and academic. We work to nurture loving and supportive long-term mentoring relationships that result in a stronger community.

Opportunities

Bracken Woods Garden Preparation

Come help us clean up the garden space, build new beds, and get things prepped for winter. Social distancing will be utilized and masks are required. Meet at 3161 Bracken Woods Lane from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Bring work gloves.If you have a drill, shovel, hammer, etc. please bring those as well. Occurs Saturdays, contact us or visit our website for specific dates.

Food Pantry

Monday’s from 9 am – 12 pm we are always looking for new volunteers for our food pantry! Help pass out food boxes while making connections with other volunteers and community members.

Year Long

For volunteers working directly with children we ask for a minimum of a one-year commitment. Background check required, 21+, 1-2hrs/wk.

Due to the nature of our special events and holiday programs, we rely on a great number of volunteers to ensure the event/program runs smoothly.

Group Service Trips

We do any length of trip from day long trips to week long trips. There is a per person fee for lodging, staffing, and project supplies.

We are looking for items for our preschools sensory room!

How you help

We have many skilled and unskilled jobs from working with children, to office work, to construction. Just about anything you can think of. Children growing up in under-resourced areas often have not had the benefit of relationships with committed adults.
