Group Mentor

Are you interested in helping children and youth, but need some flexibility? Become a group mentor! This program offers exceptional flexibility. As part of a team of mentors, you share the responsibility of meeting with a group of students after school on a regular basis. A CYC mentor is a positive adult advocate in the life of a vulnerable young student. CYC mentors keep students in school and focused on academics, build young people’s self-esteem, expose kids to new experiences and opportunities, and most importantly, change lives.

One-to-One Mentoring

A CYC mentor is a positive adult advocate in the life of a vulnerable young student. CYC mentors keep students in school and focused on academics, build young people’s self-esteem, expose kids to new experiences and opportunities, and most importantly, change lives. When you are a one-to-one mentor, CYC matches you with a student in grades 2-12. You will have at least one hour of contact with your student per week, for at least a year. When you mentor with CYC, you get easy access to mentor coordinators who ensure and support a successful match, a strong partnership with Cincinnati Public Schools that emphasizes student academic success, and the flexibility and customization to meet the needs of you and your student. You receive a variety of perks to enrich your mentoring experience. These include a free Y membership for mentors and mentees to use together, in addition to various discounts to local restaurants, events, and seasonal activities. When you volunteer your time as a one-to-one mentor you make a difference in the life of an at-risk student.
