Ways to help

Urban Scholars Mentor

City Gospel Mission comes alongside under-resourced and first-generation college students who are the proud recipients of the Cincinnati Christian University Urban Scholars scholarship award. Each student is paired with a mentor whom they meet with regularly to ensure a successful transition to college life. We need your help to make a lasting impact on these young adults and help break cycles of generational poverty.

Character Building Program Volunteer

Our sports, recreation and performing arts initiatives for kids may all seem very different, but they have a few important things in common: they teach kids the love of God and help them become healthy, caring individuals. When you give to help at-risk youth, you’re giving so much more than soccer or a fun event – you’re helping a child realize his potential.

Whiz Kids

Tutoring has the power to boost children’s academic scores, create strong readers and improve confidence. But our volunteers become so much more than tutors. They become mentors, friends and positive role models that change the lives of children beyond the classroom.

Princess Ballet

The program serves girls ages 2-18 at 15 sites across Greater Cincinnati. Our dancers are from low-income families and sometimes referred from homeless shelters. Female volunteers with or without any ballet experience or knowledge are needed. That includes dance instructors, as well as volunteers to work with the girls, and help with performances.
