VA Voluntary Service Program VolunteerHelp assist veterans, their families and caregivers at VA facilities through the VA Voluntary Service Program by sharing your time and talents to perform a wide range of duties.DAV Local Veterans Assistance Program VolunteerThe Local Veterans Assistance Program facilitates and recognizes volunteer initiatives that contribute to the lives of our nation's ill and injured heroes. By providing resources, assistance or help with everyday needs, volunteers allow these heroes and their families to enjoy the best quality of life possible.Volunteer for Veterans.orgVolunteerforVeterans.org is a website where veterans can go to add personal needs, such as lawn care, cleaning needs, caregiver respite, etc. Volunteers can then register and sign-up to help veterans in their local community. Hours are credited to the volunteer through the DAV Local Veterans Assistance Program.DAV Transportation VolunteerHelp provide free rides for our nation's heroes who are receiving medical care at VA facilities nationwide.DAV 5K VolunteersHelp us put on a great 5K event! Volunteer shifts will start in advance of the race at Packet Pickup where you’ll assist participants in picking up their timing chip, race bib and shirt. This is a great way to meet the veterans in your community and thank them for their service! On race day, volunteer positions range from helping set up/breakdown the event, registering participants, distributing food and beverages, and more. Shifts typically last 3-4 hours. The race is usually in November. |
