Our mission We are dedicated to a single purpose: empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

DAV 5K Volunteers

Help us put on a great 5K event! Volunteer shifts will start in advance of the race at Packet Pickup where you’ll assist participants in picking up their timing chip, race bib and shirt. This is a great way to meet the veterans in your community and thank them for their service! On race day, volunteer positions range from helping set up/breakdown the event, registering participants, distributing food and beverages, and more. Shifts typically last 3-4 hours. The race is usually in November.
