Tutor

Envision Children is looking for fun, educated, enthusiastic volunteers to help tutor students of all ages in all subject areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, ACT Study Skills, Homework Help, etc.). You will need a current background check.

Private Tutor

As a private tutor, you will work with a student in a one-on-one situation. Private tutoring take place primarily at the Envision Children offices in Green Hills. However, we offer private tutoring all over the Greater Cincinnati area. If you do not tutor at the office it will be at a library, community center or other public location. Tutoring could be in any subject. Tutoring session last 60-120 minutes. We try and meet 1-2 times per week with a student. We will assign you to a student at a grade level you feel comfortable teaching. All volunteers must pass a criminal background check.

As a small group tutor you will work with 5-8 students in a small group working on reading and math instruction designed to improve in-class and testing performance working toward proficiency in both subjects. Specific curriculum is provided. All volunteers must pass a criminal background check.

As a small group tutor with Kindergarten students, you will be assisting the primary kindergarten teacher in the classroom. As a small group tutor, you will help instructors with 16 kindergarten students over a two-hour period. Students in the class need extra help developing the skill necessary to be successful in kindergarten and to be properly prepared to achieve academically in 1st grade. Volunteers help work on 16 academic and other skills all kindergarten students must master. All volunteers must pass a criminal background check.

As a Pump Up the STEM volunteer, you will help teach STEM subjects. We offer an After School STEM, a Saturday program called Power Saturdays and a summer day camp program. Volunteers will help teach a curriculum we provide or they may bring their own (we would work this out ahead of time). This is an enrichment program. All volunteers must pass a criminal background check.
