Kids Cafe - lunch delivery

The Freestore Foodbank's Kids Cafe Summer Lunch Distribution Program is now seeking summer volunteers for this excellent ongoing volunteer opportunity. Starting June 6th and going through August 8th this opportunity allows volunteers to work directly with hungry kids to make an immediate impact in solving hunger. Kids Cafe can serve dozens of kids at a lunch distribution event so be prepared to work hard and smile a lot. Hours are 10:45 am - 1:00 pm. *This project requires an advanced training/orientation session before you can volunteer. FSFB staff will contact you for scheduling. *This project does take places outdoors, please prepare accordingly. Kids Cafe Lunch Distribution Days are subject to cancellation due to weather. We will notify volunteers at least 2 hours in advance if there is a cancellation. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: · Assisting with the setup and cleanup of the Kids Cafe Lunch distribution · Supervising the on-site feeding · Assisting in recording and uploading lunch distribution data via online application · Some lifting may be involved - up to 50 pounds. Accommodations can be made if needed. Please notify staff if you have any restrictions. · In-depth training will be given before your first volunteer assignment - no previous training or prior experience required!
