Ways to help youth thrive |
Mission Adelaide VolunteerTo become involved in Girls on the Run and tell the stories of our amazing girls, consider becoming a Mission Adelaide volunteer. As a Mission Adelaide volunteer, you will visit a team at least two times during a season and attend the 5K celebration with your team. You collect stories of the girls and coaches and document their progress over the season by looking for the changes you see in the girls over the course of the season. You’ll notice some of the girls who are shy will come out of their shell and become more comfortable. At the end of the season, you write a short story to submit to a local paper or online publication. These stories highlight the impact of the program and are therefore essential to our mission. |
