About us | Kennedy Heights Arts Center was founded in 2004 by local residents organizing to save the historic Kennedy mansion (circa 1875) from demolition. Literally hundreds of residents came together to purchase the dilapidated structure and transform it into a thriving community arts center. Twelve years later, the Arts Center expanded, transforming an adjacent, long-vacant, former grocery store into our Carl, Robert, Richard and Dorothy Lindner Annex and Studios. Serving more than 5,000 people annually, it provides rotating art exhibitions, arts education programs for youth and adults, outreach programs in public schools and libraries, and community events from cultural festivals to poetry readings. We are proud that 100 percent of our programs are accessible to everyone regardless of financial means. |
