Ways to help youth thrive |
Crockpot TeacherAs a crockpot teacher, you arrive at La Soupe and receive instructions on where you are going to teach and are given supplies. You then go to your assigned location to teach high school students basic cooking skills, how to read and modify a recipe, and how to recognize different assortments of produce and spices. Not only do you provide a meal but you also help students learn an essential life skill. |

How you help | Since 2016, over 200 volunteers contributed 9,270+ hours of service to La Soupe. We need volunteers every day to help keep our 47 share agencies fed. La Soupe is a citywide effort. Only by working together can we bridge the gap between food waste and food insecurity. |

About us | To bridge the gap between food waste and hunger La Soupe rescues otherwise wasted produce to create delicious and highly-nutritious meals for customers, non-profits and food-insecure families. Since 2014 La Soupe has grown exponentially. Each week, La Soupe is rescuing 5,000 pounds of perishables and feeding up to 2,000 kids via 47 partner agencies. Through it all, Oyler remains being a weekly give partner and the first school to have the Cincinnati Gives a Crock program. |
