Early Literacy Program

You will assist students - Pre-K through 3rd grade - as they participate in a variety of literacy activities all while fostering a love of reading.

Clothes Coordinator

Helps clients shop in the clothes/household area of the Marketplace. Helps stock shelves and ensures that all items on shelves and on hanging racks are neat and organized. Directions given by Emergency Assistance Programs Manager.

Marketplace

In the MEAC Marketplace, you will shop one-on-one with clients in the food area (and if needed/or requested in the clothes/household area), assist clients with bagging their food and other items, assist clients with taking items upstairs via the elevator, as well as, sort and bag large food donations, stock shelves, and do light cleaning. Days and Times: Tuesday and Thursday - 9-3

Ways to help youth thrive

Literacy Program Volunteer

As a MEAC Literacy Program Volunteer, you assist students in Pre-K through 3rd grade at John P. Parker Elementary School in Madisonville as they participate in a variety of literacy activities, all while fostering a love of reading. The After School Pre-Kindergarten Program runs from 2:15-3:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kindergarten and 1st grade students are helped Wednesdays from 4:05 – 5:05 pm and 2nd-3rd graders are helped Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:05 – 5:05 pm.
