Our mission

The mission of the Cincinnati Marathon, Inc., is to provide a premier event open to athletes of all abilities that is dedicated to supporting charities. The event should inspire community celebration and reward the emotions of all participants, sponsors, volunteers and spectators.
Opportunities

Medical Team Volunteer

The Flying Pig Medical team is looking for doctors, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, paramedics, EMTs, other healthcare professionals, AND students to help take care of the event participants.

Spirit Group Sign Up

Our official volunteer program requires volunteers to be at least 14 years of age. If you represent a non-profit with volunteers under the age of 14, we still have an opportunity for you! Your group can participate as one of our Sunday “Spirit Stations.”

Charity Group Volunteers

Volunteers are needed throughout the weekend to help with all facets of the event such as fluid stations, on-course aid stations, start and finish line area. Donations range depending on the volunteer assignment and the adult to youth ratio the group is able to provide. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

How you help

More than 8,000 volunteers (Grunts) are needed to make the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon special and to help make the Pig “fly”. Many of our volunteers are associated with charity groups while others are individuals. Volunteers play a significant role in the success of our event and it would not be possible without them. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
