Dermatologist

We need 3 physicians/CNP's/PA's to work in each clinic. You can also help by volunteering to accept patients with suspected melanoma on an expedited basis. These referrals are rotated so no one person gets them all. Some patients will have insurance and others will not, but you can limit the number of pro bono/reduced rate patients you are willing to see per year. Arrangements will be made for the pathology for uninsured patients to be read pro bono/reduced rate as well.

School and Youth Programs Educator

Do you enjoy speaking in front of a crowd and sharing healthy skin practices? If so, join us as a School and Youth Programs Educator. Melanoma Know More’s School & Youth Educational Awareness Program is designed to promote MKM’s organizational mission to reduce the impact of melanoma through awareness and educational efforts. The program features three similar educational talks that are age-appropriate for elementary, middle and high school students. Volunteers receive an overview of the program and then are equipped with an electronic presentation (a PowerPoint with videos) that they show at schools and community centers around the region. The presentation also includes a Q&A session and a chance to distribute sunglasses and sunscreen to the students.
