After School Activities Assistants are essential in our branches to ensure that children are engaged in safe, calm, and entertaining activities during after school hours. Typical work includes creating and implementing a small activity for 10-15 children, like coloring activities, games, and more intricate crafting.Children's Program Support Assistant VolunteerDo you enjoy working with children? Have an interest in arts and crafts? The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County seeks volunteers to serve as Children’s Program Support Assistants. Children’s Program Support Assistants are essential in our branches to provide assistance to librarians as they prepare for and offer programming for our young patrons. Do you and your therapy dog enjoy working with children? Tales to Tails Volunteers are an important part of our team, providing the opportunity to children to read to certified therapy dogs in the safe environment of the library. But, the dogs don’t do all the work! Volunteers work directly with our young patrons to help them improve their reading skills. |
