Our mission	Our mission is to find, rescue, and distribute food to people living in poverty through an efficient network uniting the public and private sectors, and to raise awareness of the impact of poverty.

Opportunities	Retail Rescue Program Perform quality checks on donated food and package variety boxes. A knowledgeable staff person will review the process of checking each donated food item for quality while working with the volunteers. One-time Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Indoor On-site Weekdays Food Drive Support Performing quality checks on donated food and boxing for distribution. A knowledgeable staff person will review the process of checking each donated food item for quality. One-time 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Office work, Event support, Indoor On-site Weekdays Commodity Supplemental Food Program Stand in an assembly line while packing 21+ food items in a box in preparation for monthly distribution. Volunteers must be attentive to given direction to insure each box contains the same amount of items. One-time Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Indoor On-site Weekdays BackPack Program Walk the stacks to assemble a back pack carrier with various items in a grocery bag and/or box packed bags in preparation for weekly distributions. Great walking exercise. One-time Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Indoor On-site Weekdays

About us	The primary purpose of Shared Harvest Foodbank is to alleviate poverty and hunger by soliciting and judiciously distributing surplus marketable and wholesome grocery products to a network of charitable food pantries, which in turn distribute these products to needy and hungry people.
