How you help You can make an impact by sharing your time and talents at St. Joseph Orphanage. In addition to our ongoing volunteer opportunities, we encourage you to suggest ways in which you can offer impact through your expertise and talents! During this time of concern and crisis, the need for services and supporting our community are ever present and remain at the forefront of SJO’s mission.
About us We serve over 5,200 kids & young adults yearly who suffer from mental health, educational and behavioral concerns often due to abuse, neglect, & trauma. Many of these kids come from unsafe neighborhoods and home lives with a bleak future. We care for the kids who have nowhere else to go to get help. What was once an orphanage founded in 1829 has evolved into an innovative agency offering Mental Health services, education, and foster care from 4 offices to the general public in South West, Ohio Counties including Hamilton County, Butler County, Montgomery County, Clermont County, Clinton County, Warren County, Preble County, and Greene County.
