Help clients through notes, short videos and emailsSend notes of encouragement, short videos and emails that the staff will pass along to struggling clients.281-CARE281-CARE is a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention, information and referral service. A 40-hour training will be provided along with ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training). Requirements: High School diploma or GED, background check, 5-10 hours per week (hours are flexible) and a three month commitment.Fatherhood Community CelebrationEach year on Father's Day, Talbert House hosts this FREE event for dads and families to enjoy a day of games, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and beverages, live music, sports activities, and more.Individual and Group Volunteer OpportunitiesHost an activity, meal, training or workshop for our clients, write messages of hope to persons in recovery, landscape or help with site renovation projects. We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities. |

How you help | Volunteers are an integral part of Talbert House's work. From providing support at our Fatherhood Community Celebration to helping organize supply drives and answering 281-CARE crisis hotline calls, volunteers are key to supporting many of our programs and activities. |
