281-CARE

281-CARE is a 24-hour telephone crisis intervention, information and referral service. A 40-hour training will be provided along with ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training). Requirements: High School diploma or GED, background check, 5-10 hours per week (hours are flexible) and a three month commitment.

Fatherhood Community Celebration

Each year on Father's Day, Talbert House hosts this FREE event for dads and families to enjoy a day of games, entertainment, arts and crafts, food and beverages, live music, sports activities, and more.

How you help Volunteers are an integral part of Talbert House's work. From providing support at our Fatherhood Community Celebration to helping organize supply drives and answering 281-CARE crisis hotline calls, volunteers are key to supporting many of our programs and activities.
About us Talbert House is a community-wide nonprofit network of services focusing on prevention, assessment, treatment and reintegration. We help children, adults and families overcome addiction, mental illness and involvement in the justice system.
