Our mission	We create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term, fair trading relationships.

Opportunities	Offsite Sales Volunteers help pack for upcoming offsites, prepare the event space, transport necessary items, work the actual sale, return product and help in many other aspects. Offsites are fun, flexible and a great way to work directly within the community, sharing the mission of Fair Trade one step further. One-time, Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Event support, Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Customer Service Volunteers work on a wide variety of activities, from learning and sharing artisan stories with customers to ringing up handicraft sales and wrapping them for safe travel. Occasional 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Share artisan stories Unpack a hand drum from India. Learn about Fair Trade. Show a child where Kenya is on the map. Transport recyclables to the recycling center. Restock the store of handicrafts. This is a just a sampling of the different types of activities undertaken by Ten Thousand Villages volunteers. How you help	As a nonprofit enterprise, we rely on more than 1,000 volunteers to help us accomplish our mission. Volunteers help out with many aspects of our operations, from the warehouse to the sales floor.

About us	We are a fair trade retailer of artisan-crafted home decor, personal accessories and gift items from across the globe. Featuring products from more than 130 artisan groups in over 30 countries, we have been bringing fair trade to the Queen City for over 15 years.
