Opportunities

Tax Preparer

Build financial stability for families by helping them prepare and file their taxes at one of our free tax sites. Volunteers will receive training to meet one-on-one with families and file their return using tax software. Individuals can help on their own, or groups can adopt a tax site and volunteer together.

Items we need

Homemade Masks

Many of our United Way Agency Partners have adapted their services to help meet the needs of community members that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Organizations that run shelters, pantries, and other direct services are interacting with and serving community members every day during this crisis, and are in need of protective equipment to help ensure their safety, as well as the safety of others. While we know there is a shortage of medical grade personal protective equipment (PPE), many of our partners have expressed a need for homemade facemasks.

If you’d like to contribute to COVID-19 relief efforts by making facemasks, click the button on this page. One of our Volunteer Connection team members will work with you to identify the appropriate quantity and recipient agency.
