Fundraising/Supply Drive

Is your business, faith group, family, or social circle looking to give back? UpSpring distributes thousands of crucial items through their Resource Collaborative, but this would not be possible without support from the community. They are always looking for individuals and groups to facilitate item drives (winter clothing, hygiene kits, school supplies, laundry items), allowing their reach to extend further each year. This opportunity is highly flexible (this is a year-round need).

Newport Intermediate After School Program

UpSpring After School is a program that provides the opportunity for students at Newport Intermediate, who are experiencing homelessness, to have a meaningful club experience. The 2018-2019 theme is "Year of Passion" –allowing the students to focus on dreams that can impact their future, their community, and the world at large. UpSpring is looking for individuals to come in and share their story of passion and growth with the students in this program. This is a one-time commitment but undoubtedly would be an incredibly impactful commitment. Program dates: September 24th, 2018 through April 25th, 2019 Meeting days/times: Mondays and Thursdays (3:00- 5:00 pm)

How you help By giving your time, talent, and resources to UpSpring, you are giving children, who are experiencing homelessness, hope for a better future. You are providing the essential items necessary for students to get to school, stay in school, and succeed in school. You are giving students the opportunity to develop a passion that they may not have known they had within themselves. Your help develops the consistency, connectivity, and community needed to empower these children and youth.
About us As the region's only non-profit exclusively serving the educational needs of homeless children and youth, UpSpring provides these students with the consistency needed to achieve academic success and become well-rounded, active participants in their community.
