|Our mission||Wave Pool is a dynamic place where art intersects with community. We act as a catalyst for social engagement and cultivate artistic development.|
|Ways to help|
The Welcome Project
Help through teaching assistance, manning the storefront, and assisting the refugee and immigrant population with translational service and transportation.
Help with special projects and special events, festivals, and programs.
Sit during our regular open hours, assist with refreshments and greeting during our openings and lectures, as well as help tidy up the gallery after open hours.
|How you help||We are growing quickly and making a name for Cincinnati as a place where art happens. We are proud of what we've accomplished and ready to do more. As a small and fairly young organization, we rely on volunteers to help us keep our doors open, our event calendar alive, and our programs running smoothly. Whether by volunteering to teach a class at The Welcome Project, gallery sitting for just a couple hours a month, or helping hand out maps for one of our outdoor community festivals, you will be making a difference for Wave Pool, artists in Cincinnati, and our city as a whole. Thank you.|
|About us||We started Wave Pool as a way to connect artists to each other and to others, allowing for a team-driven approach to regional arts development and elevating a neighborhood through experimental arts integration in real and meaningful ways. We found that what makes for a healthy arts community makes for a healthy community on a much more broad scale. We can provide art exhibition opportunities, critiques, studios, but we can’t stop there. Doing these things made us realize the larger inequities and issues in our neighborhood. Luckily, there are ways for art to play a role in all of these things and more, and often it is simply seeing the resources available and connecting people and places to these resources and each other in creative ways.|
