Women Helping Women is accepting applications for new volunteers!
Each volunteer must fill out an application, complete an interview, pass a background check, and complete training. WHW Volunteers do Survivor Support Services which requires 40-hour of training for accepted volunteers. Some tasks include responding to hospitals 24-hours a day to support survivors, answer text/chat conversations through an online system and virtually attend court hearings with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. We ask that each volunteer who completes training commit to at least one year of volunteering. Some opportunities require being on call overnight, others require being available during regular business hours, and others require weekend volunteering. Sign upÂ
