Local chefs help La Soupe with high demand

La Soupe has been monitoring the COVID-19 virus very carefully and we have taken steps to prevent the spread of this virus as we continue to feed the food insecure community. Please donate so that we can continue to carry out our mission during this crisis.

La Soupe has responded to the COVID 19 crisis by both expanding our capacity to produce meals through our move to Firehouse Grill and by launching the Community Kitchen Program in which restaurants can open their kitchens to create meals for the food insecure.

In just one short week we began receiving meals for distribution from these Community Kitchen Program partners:

  • Taste of Belgium
  • Kroger Innovation Kitchen
  • Waggles/Sleepy Bee
  • Embassy Suites Riverside (now closed)

La Soupe delivers rescued perishable food to partner kitchens where their chefs transform it into meals. La Soupe then uses newly established Cincinnati Public school sites as distribution hubs for the Community Kitchen meals so that healthy and nutritious food options are available. This quickly-assembled system is allowing La Soupe to broaden its reach using the talents of local chefs who are joining our mission to feed those in need in this time of crisis. Additionally, Rhinegeist Brewery has stepped up to help deliver large loads of food to keep these community kitchens cooking!
