Most Adopt A Class school visits canceled due to school closures

The health & safety of our students is of upmost importance to Adopt A Class. Many of our school district partners have started issuing statements, instituting new policies, and closing their doors. Ohio Schools: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has made the decision to temporarily close schools for 3 weeks for purposes of prevention efforts for COVID-19. At this time, Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit Ohio schools at least until April 3, 2020. Any field trips scheduled for this same time period must either be cancelled or postponed. Newport Primary School: Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit at Newport Primary School at least until March 27, 2020. The status of any field trips is being discussed and handled on a case by case basis. Newport Intermediate School: Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit at Newport Intermediate School at least until March 27, 2020. All field trips for the month of March are to be cancelled/postponed. Glenn O Swing Elementary School: Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit at Glenn O Swing Elementary School at least until March 27, 2020. All field trips for the month of March are to be cancelled/ postponed. John G Carlisle Elementary School: Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit at John G Carlisle Elementary School at least until March 30, 2020. All field trips for the month of March are to be cancelled/postponed. Hartwell School: Adopt A Class teams will not be allowed to visit Hartwell school for the month of March. Any field trips scheduled for the month of March must either be cancelled or postponed. Lincoln Heights Elementary School: Adopt A Class teams will no longer be allowed to visit at Lincoln Heights Elementary until further notice. Any field trips scheduled for the month of March must either be cancelled or postponed.
