Securing the Future 2021 a success by all accounts

More than 300 Greater Cincinnati leaders participated in the 2021 Securing the Future program, hosted by Leadership Council for Nonprofits.

“What an incredible event!” said Karen Harshaw, founder and CEO of Spark Philanthropy LLC.

Attendees heard from keynote speaker Vanessa Mason, research director at the Institute for the Future in Palo Alto, Calif., which explores how to remodel approaches to fulfill the basic human need for belonging over the next decade as loneliness, alienation and exclusion become more pervasive.

“Vanessa was amazing and the speakers were wonderful,” said Harshaw. “Thank you Jenny Berg and everyone at Leadership Council and the STF2021 planning committee.

Securing the Future is in its 21st year, designed to  present speakers who will provoke, stimulate, inspire and motivate attendees to gain a broader understanding of current and future trends on the local, national and global level so they can help the organizations they serve to secure the future.
The “future of belonging” was the theme for the 2021 conference, all virtual due to the pandemic.
