Sunday outreach on hiatus, but sheltering continues

Maslow’s Army

During the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, Maslow’s Army sheltered over 229 individuals, families, and veterans experiencing homelessness.

The individuals that were placed into hotel rooms also had regular health screenings, daily temperature checks,  and 3 meals a day served by our amazing volunteers.

We don’t know how many lives this program saved but we know it may a tremendous impact. Especially for those most vulnerable!

As COVID-19 has changed the landscape of our daily lives it will also leave its mark on our Sunday outreach.
We have over the past weeks housed over 80 people in hotel rooms and provided them with meals each day. This has stretched our resources to the maximum. This coupled with the need to follow the guidelines of social distancing, we will be suspending the outreach temporarily (at the Hamilton County Justice Center Plaza) to ensure we are able to provide for those that we have provided housing for during this pandemic.
To be clear, the Maslow’s Army outreach effort will safely continue at our 3 hotel locations at noon, as we will serve each guest in their rooms.
