Cincinnati Public Radio postpones spring fund drive
We hit our shelter in place stride in Week 8 during an all staff Zoom meeting when our friends Thane Maynard and Fiona surprised the CPR staff by joining the call. It was a great reminder to look for hints of happiness and go with the flow.
Most of the staff is working from home, but we do have a small cadre of reporters, hosts and engineers in the building keeping us on the air.
We are grateful for your continued support – and the emails and notes of encouragement we have received:
“Thank you for your dedicated service every morning to bringing us the news and the local and national stories we rely on! You are a part of our daily lives, and your voice is in our kitchen, bathroom and shower every morning getting us informed and inspired for our day. The reporting that you and your colleagues bring us through this crisis is an absolute gift!”
“The countless times your station moved my soul, nourished me on hard days, inspired my artist’s heart. I want everyone to have access! I live in Massachusetts now and no one does it as well as WGUC.”
We have postponed the Spring Fund Drive which was supposed to begin next week because our top priority is providing you with COVID-19 news as we begin to reopen our businesses. Funding from sustainers allows us to delay and minimize on air fundraising during times like this. The monthly support we receive from listeners like you keeps the news you need on WVXU and the classical music you love on WGUC.
Thank you again… and stay healthy!
