Board Member – Technology
Our board | The board's role is to provide governance and support for the Dan Beard Council as it works to achieve the mission of the Boy Scouts of America which is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. |

Position | This board member will help to elevate a nonprofit’s technology needs has a keen sense of technology trends such as big data, cloud computing, mobility and social media. The board member will guide a nonprofit’s critical performance in these and other technology areas while helping to set equipment and resource deployment priorities. |

Commitment | 3 to 5 hours/month |

Donation | We require a specific amount of “give or get” for all board members. |

Requirements | Board Members are expected to serve on one of our standing committees. These include projects like fundraising, new member recruiting, camping, program, marketing, and finance. |

On-boarding | We hold a one hour New Board Member Orientation event in early November every year. During the orientation, we cover basics of the organization, the role of the board go over the many ways new members can get involved. |

Our mission | To prepare the over 20,000 young people in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. |
