How you helpWe are so grateful that individuals and groups in the community want to volunteer with CHNK! Thank you!
About usToday, Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky serves as a bridge to a better future for hundreds of children and families annually who benefit from its specialized treatment programs. It continues to fulfill the mission established by its founder, Amos Shinkle, the literal “bridge-builder,” who recognized a need and took action. And the Home continues to invest in the state’s most important but often most neglected resource—children.

The interior walls of our B2 building look phenomenal - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to the hard-working painters who made it happen! #volunteer #giveback #communitysupport #buildingbridges

As the weather gets nicer in the Northern Kentucky region, just a friendly reminder that CHNK is a neighbor of Devou Park - we are not part of the park, and our campus is actually private property.

Given the nature of the services we provide to youth, we enforce a safe environment at all times. Unexpected visitors who do not have business with CHNK will be asked to leave. (The Devou Park Rangers assist us with this during evening and weekend hours.)

So while our front lawn may seem to be the perfect place for kite flying, prom photos, or a picnic dinner, we ask that you instead visit the Drees Pavilion Overlook; it's a hillside over from us and it's part of the park! 😉
