Ways to help

Jobs Van

The Jobs Van is an outreach program that works with panhandlers in downtown Cincinnati. The Van picks up panhandlers and homeless in random locations and offers them an opportunity to work for the day. A volunteer accompanies the Jobs Van Coordinator in the van for the day, picking up individuals who are panhandling, inviting them to work for the day, driving to the job site to pick up trash, helping with supplies, lunch, and building relationships. One volunteer per shift. Shifts run Tuesday - Friday from 8 am to 3 pm. Preference is for volunteers who are able to ride on the same day each week, or every other week. Must be 21 years old.

Tutoring has the power to boost children’s academic scores, create strong readers and improve confidence. But our volunteers become so much more than tutors. They become mentors, friends and positive role models that change the lives of children beyond the classroom.

Character Building Program Volunteer

Our sports, recreation and performing arts initiatives for kids may all seem very different, but they have a few important things in common: they teach kids the love of God and help them become healthy, caring individuals. When you give to help at-risk youth, you’re giving so much more than soccer or a fun event – you’re helping a child realize his potential.
