Ways to help

Market Madness

Join us for a day of entrepreneurship and fun! More than 1,000 elementary students from across Cincinnati will come together at the University of Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena to buy and sell handmade goods they have been creating in classroom businesses. Students advertise, buy, and sell products from one another and learn important economics and financial literacy skills through this hands-on experience. Some examples of products students have created in the past include foam rockets, jump ropes, puzzles, bookmarks, jewelry, journals, hats, and so much more! If you choose to attend, the Center will give you free "StEP Bucks" that can be used to purchase items from the students. Come and make their day!

Student Enterprise Program

In StEP, elementary students earn school currency for positive behaviors such as completing homework on time, arriving at school on time, showing academic achievement, behaving well, etc. The Center provides an on-site school store at some school buildings four times per year, where students have the opportunity to purchase school supplies and novelty items. We need volunteers to help run the store and other aspects of the program.
