Talbert spending more, getting less to take care of clients
Talbert House staff like Al Caldwell are working hard to keep clients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Keeping our clients and staff safe is our top priority,” Caldwell said. “At our residential programs such as Burnet Intensive Services (BIS) where I work as an Operations Supervisor it is especially important during this pandemic that we have the supplies and resources to safely serve our clients.
“At BIS we empower men as they exit the justice system to successfully reunite with their families, overcome their substance use challenges and gain employment,” said Caldwell. “By taking the temperatures of clients and staff, wearing protective equipment and constantly cleaning our facility we are able to continue this work so our clients can build a successful life.”
Staff like Caldwell are working hard to continue caring for Talbert clients. To date, Talbert has spent over $100,000 in additional supplies related to a COVID-19 response.
As our COVID-19 expenditures go up daily, funding is declining.
Talbert House appreciates everyone who has reached out to ask how they can help.
If you have the ability and desire to contribute to Talbert House at this time, your donation of any amount, will help us continue to care for our clients and our community.
