Our organization purchased a building before the virus hit.We have held off any fundraising or announcement of the building because of the virus. At the same time, we do not have a great image to use.We would love the assistance of someone familiar with Sketch-Up and rendering plugins to help us create a more beautified version of our exterior. We have a model started but have not gotten far.It may be possible to create it on Photoshop from a photo, but we're not sure that will yield the best results. At this time, we just looking to do the following with the exterior:
  • Model enough to where we can get one single diagonal view showing the front and main side view of the building. No interiors or other exterior walls are necessarily needed at this time.
  • Add signage.
  • Add flattering lighting.
  • Add flattering landscaping.
It is a very simple rectangular building with a few rectangular windows. There is a handicap ramp, however, that we would like included, and an "awning."

City Gospel Mission depends on the help of scheduled volunteer groups who partner with us to provide and serve the meals that we provide every day in our homeless shelter. We are anticipating that some groups will have to cancel during this uncertain time.To ensure that the people we serve will continue to receive dinner uninterrupted, we are asking interested groups, individuals, families, and business to consider signing up to provide a meal when needed. The meal can be prepared in our commercial sized kitchen or brought in ready to serve. The meal can also be dropped off in advance: earlier in the day, just prior to dinner or even the day before.Responsibilities:Provide dinner for 80 residents. At this time, we're just asking volunteers to provide the meal and drop it off at the shelter, and our residents will help to serve. We provide plates, napkins, cups, silverware, pitchers for ice water and any cooking utensils you might need.We recommend a hardy meal with a protein, a vegetable and one or two starch options. Our volunteer coordinator or our kitchen manager would be happy to give you recommendations.Another option would be to have dinner brought in or catered from one of our local restaurants.Procedures: If you are interested in helping out, or have more questions, please email Hannah Anderson, our Volunteer Coordinator at: [email protected]We will keep your name on our "emergency" list to contact when we have cancellations. We are hoping to be informed of cancellations well in advance, and will then contact our emergency meal providers.PLEASE ABIDE BY THE CORONA VIRUS RESTRICTIONS AND GUIDELINES. Call and check on seniors during a time where, unfortunately, they are isolated. In doing these calls you will be provided a script and a series of questions to ask the seniors.
